Leaves crunching underfoot, he quickly walked down the narrow tree-lined street.
“Where’d she go?” He asked himself, looking for any trace of her in the area.
The coarse sand underneath her boots crunched as she turned. Looking for him to emerge from one of the smaller side streets and into the common area, she carefully scanned the area.
This was the furthest they had ventured from the city center.
He better get here soon, she thought.
Leaf by leaf, he crunched his way towards the common.
