“Where are you at?” She replied, realizing that the sharp noise startled her partner.
“I’m still leaning by the door. Where you left me.” He shouted.
“I’ll be down in a few seconds, don’t worry.”
Sure thing, but what the hell was that? He thought, as his mind tried to think up rational explanations.

Her footsteps closed in on the door, just before it quickly burst open.
“I don’t know what you heard, but it scared the hell out of me too. Anyway, it was just some roofing material falling over.”
