Any relationship’s worth is not based on the usual: “Have you eaten?” (vs Let’s eat now.) “Where are you now and what are you doing?” (vs Where are you now, I’m on my way to see you.) “I’m thinking of you.” (vs Let’s see each other tonight.) “Let’s go out some time?” (vs Let’s go out now.) A relationship may be measured (however futile the exercise is) by years of not speaking, an instant re-connection, and moments that don’t need words. My fondest memories of people are made of these moments.
