"Dover Bitch" is about a man and his prostitute, which meet each other once a year. The poem takes place in a room in England, at night; because the man is looking out the window at the way the light hits the water. The mood is an angry one; the lady seems to be upset with the man, because he is not giving her enough attention. He seems to be more interested in the scenery outside the window. The reason I think she is a prostitute, is he only sees her once a year, to show her a good time.
