It Figures #27

Clear As Mud
Is not very clear at all.

He is down, looking up,
And even the thin covering of ice,
His winter lens,
Has been shattered
By a boot print
And no longer helps to resolve this world.

Clear As Mud
Has arms
Pinned behind him
Deep in the frozen pond
In even More mud and slush.

And had he teeth
He would grit them
At the thought of
The plants growing from his back,
The insects and frogs burrowing there.

Perhaps it is better that Clear as Mud
Is not very clear on these things.
