Junior comes through the door as I am working. “Hello, how’s it going?” I greet him.

“I’m just here for a minute. I’ve got to get some money mom left me to get some bark chips.” He’s been working over at her house. She’s paying him ten bucks an hour to do things around the house like mowing and raking. He goes into his bedroom. I continue working until he comes back out. “I’m just here for a minute,” he says again. “I had to get some money mom left me to buy bark chips.” He slips out the door.
