I graduated college this summer. Actually, I graduated summa cum laude, but in the weeks of job searching and trying to understand the real world, I realized that academic distinction means nothing.
I've developed a profound anger at academic institutions from public elementary schools to private colleges for teaching their students little to nothing about the real world.
I'm so naive, it's pitiful. All I really want to do is get past that. I don't want to be seen as a little girl anymore. I want to grow up.
It's the end of summer. I still don't have a job.
