Obama’s first 100 days in office have the feel of a media blitz – almost like a writer’s book tour. His face and his promises have been everywhere. There seems to be a sense of desperation in all of the talk and the TARP and the bailouts. We, the people, are paying for the excesses of the financial industry, the auto industry and the housing bubble. Perhaps, the government programs will ease the pain a bit but I can’t help but think that bailing out poorly run companies that are “too big to fail” is a mistake in the long run.
