Hello 100words.com! My name is Elie Mae Ross! I am a student at OSU-OKC, my goal is to become a vet tech. I LOVE ANIMALS! If I had to pick a favorite animal out of all of God's magnificent creatures, it would be the horse! Hands down! I don't exactly know what it is about them that fascinates me. Maybe it's their wide variety in color, shape, and size. Or that I have never met two horses alike. Their personalities from one to the next are as different as fingerprints! (Tomorrow I'll talk about mine.) Goodnight!;)

February 2, 2012 Groundhog day!

Today would be my great-grandfather's 109th birthday. He was born in 1903 in Spencer Oklahoma. The baby of his family, he became caretaker of his brothers when they got old. In 1929 on his one month wedding anniversary, the stock market crashed. After retiring from ONG (oklahoma natural gas), he got bored. So he got a job with the water co. were he worked till he died of a heart attack while digging a ditch at age 85. He was a very hard working man!

Today has been a good day. I woke up this morning to the sound of rain hitting my bedroom window. It's been raining all day! I love the sound of rain!

My horse loves the rain too, he hasn't gone into the barn one time today. He just prances around or runs up and down the length of the pasture, or sometimes I'll look out and he'll just be standing there. I sometimes wonder what it'd be like to run that fast. Just imagine, pushing yourself forward with that kind of strength!

Today I bought a typewriter! I have wanted one for a really long time. My great-grandmother was a typing teacher and she was really fast at typing!
After playing around with my typewriter for alittle bit, I realized how important it is NOT to make a mistake when using a typwriter! You can use white out, but you can't 'undo' a wrong letter. Can you imagine how annoying it would be if you were writting a paper and made a mistake at the very end? You'd have to start over!

Well, the weekend is almost over. Today was pretty much the normal Sunday around here. After church we all went to grandma's and grandpa's for Sunday dinner. And of course it was wonderful! ...Two pot roasts, a crock pot of pulled pork, two pounds of green beans, one pound of corn, and butter glazed rolls! (The Ross family has never had a problem with eating!) After we all stuff ourselves, we usally end up falling alseep. Sunday is supposed to be a day rest!

Actually, I did go shopping! That's something, right?! ;)

Today was a very busy day! A very full day!

1. Went to the chiropractor.
2. Swung by feed store.
3. Stopped at the gas station.
4. Came home and cleaned up the barn a little.
5. Then changed clothes and went to help my mom and aunt at work!!

Tomorrow I have classes from 1:00 to 8:00pm! And since I will most likely be doing laundry all morning, I probably wont get a chance to ride my horse tomorrow either! .... Maybe Wednesday?? I can only hope!

Busy all day school day! I don't really know how to sum up the day so I'll just discribe it...

History class was fun, we watched a movie called "Into the west". It's really good!

English class was cancelled. Our Prof. was sick!! :(

Government was awesome! As always.... I am very much enjoying that class!

Prealgebra was good, we reviewed for our exam that we're going to be taking next Tuesday! I have my fingers crossed! Im not really a math exam person! haha

WOW!!..... Where do I start?!?!?!

I guess I'll start with waking up..

1. took a shower.
2. went to the chiropractor.
3. drove my little sis to the dentist.
4. went shopping (I bought another pair of cowboy boots!)
5. went to bible study.

Well at least I got half of todays to-do list done. I guess that's better than getting none of it done! Though I really wish I would have done at least one load of laundry!

I'm so tired I can't even think of anything to write about that's worth reading! Good night!!!!!!!!!

It's raining again, it has been for several hours now. Im sitting here at my computer desk next to a window. I love the sound of rain. I've said that before. I can hear the 9:30 train. The lonely sound of a train whilstle at night is so errie, especally when it's raining. The night sky gets so dark when it rains. No stars, no moon, just cold wet blackness. We need the rain! I'm grateful for it. And I am ready to look outside and see greenery and flowers once again!

I spent about three hours studying this morning. I have two exams this Tuesday !:/

When I got to a point where I just couldn't study anymore, my sister and I went shopping! On our way home we picked up a couple of pizzas, and the family watched "Lonesome Dove"!
I love that movie! It's shows just how tough cowboys had to be!

Of course I love John Wayne too! I mean, who doesn't love J.W.????? That would just be unamerican!! (Even if his movies aren't always accurate.)

I use to work at a nursing home as a nurse aide and a medication aide, but I quit at the first of the year so I could go to school.

Today I went to the nursing home to visit my former residents, and it turns out that they have missed me as much as I have missed them! It made me feel good to hear them say that they want me to come visit more often! The people at that nursing home will always have a special place in my heart.

WOW!.... I don't quite know what disturbed me the most about the Grammy's tonight!?!?! I'd probably have to say it's a tie between Lady Gaga's fish net, the Foo Fighters techno mouse head, or Nicki's musical from HELL!!!

Though I has very happy to see Adele win multiple grammy's!! She's an amazing singer and a normal person! Congrats to Adele! :)

I thought the tribute to Glen Campbell was awesome!! The Band Perry and Blake Shelton where both great! And Glen himself sang Rhinestone Cowboy!! Awesome! :)

Absolutly nothing fun or exciting happened today! I finshed up what home work I had left, went into town and got a few errends done, and that was it! Actually, while I was at the bank, I did run into a friend that I used to work! That kept my day from being a complete FAILIER! ...... WOW! It's really hard to write 100 words about nothing! And I still need to write 18 more!!

I hope with tomorrow being Valentine's Day, I'll have something to write that's worth hearing!

Valentine's Day... the day of love.... the only day when a man can buy a stuffed animal and no one thinks twice about it! In fact, in some cases, he might even get in trouble for NOT buying a stuffed animal!
Is it just me, or does anyone else think that the whole valentine's thing is STUPID!?!?!?! I mean come on! Shouldn't you show your love for the people you care about everyday of the year?? It's ok to say "I love you" even when it's not February the 14th!!!

Today has been rough! To say the least. It started out fairly well and I almost thought it was going to be a good day. I have been feeling so tired this week. Like I'm behind, and I'm running as fast as I can, but the harder I try the further behind I get!

One reason why I'm stressed, is I had/have an exam/test in every one of my classes this week!

Long sad story short... I couldn't be more ready for this weekend!!

I got to see George Strait and Martina McBride live in concert!!!

Martina is an amazing vocalist! She performed over one hour, singing some of her older and newer songs including: "One Night," "Wild Angels," "My Baby Loves Me," "Wrong Baby Wrong," "Independence Day," "Teenage Daughters," "Long Distance Lullaby," and her tribute to cancer survivors, "I'm Gonna Love You Through It." She did a great job on her songs!

When she finished, it was the King's turn!!! He sang more than two dozen of his greatest hits! Including my favorite: "Amarillo By Morning"!!

IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!! :)

In some ways, it felt like today past quickly. And in others, it feels like today has been dragging on. I think that I'm still in awe of the awesome concert last night!! I haven't had much else to think about. It's been cold and rainy most of the day. Though I did get a little homework done, that's something!

I find trying to write exactly 100words, to be quite difficult sometimes! I either have absolutly nothing to say, or I have a thousand words that I really want to say!

Lazy day! I slept in, took two naps today, and I'm considering going to bed early! Ok, I think there might be something wrong with me...... I just couldn't sleep last night...... It wouldn't really be a big deal, except I have lots of homework that I must get done this weekend! I guess that leaves me with tomorrow. NO, wait, I don't have class until Tuesday! So, I really have tomorrow and Monday to finish what homework I have left.

Surely I can get it all done in two days! :)

I love Sundays! They're such lazy days.

After church, my mom, dad, sisters and I, all go over to my grandma's and grandpa's for sunday dinner. It's always SOOO good! After dinner, we lay around the house, some of us reading the paper, some watching T.V. But most of us end up taking a nap. Sometimes, me and my sisters will go shopping in town, you can almost always find a good sale on sunday afternoon.

And with what time is left: Homework! ;)

I went to the chiropractor this morning. I always feel better afterwards! On the way home, I stopped at Wal*mart and grabbed a few things, went by the feed store and got some more sweet feed for my horse. Came home and studied!

I have two exams this week: History and Government!

I'm not really a test person, no matter how calm I try to stay, I usually end up freaking out anyway! Which causes me to miss questions that I should have easy gotten right! ...We shall see what happens!

LONG DAY!!!! I had an exam in two classes today!

I hate test days, because I can't sleep or do anything until I find out what my score is! With my luck, it will probably be next Tuesday before I find out. :(

Completed today:....
1. got my oil in my truck changed
2. went to the store and bought some things
3. went to the movie rental store but they didn't have any movies that I was in the mood to watch, so I didn't rent anything!
4. I went to an antique shop, I love antiques!
5. And then I stoppped bt my friend's store and visited for a while.
6. Then I was hungry, so I went to sonic!
7. I don't remember what I did when I got home.
8. Just now I watched "Ella Enchanted"! :)

Today wasn't too bad. I got my grades back for two of my classes. I didn't do too bad, One A, and one B. I'm still squeaking out an A average though. So I'm happy! :)

This is going to be a long weekend! On top of homework, I've got lots of other to-do's that I must get done! I am so glad that I only have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Bedause it's a long drive for me, school days take up the whole day!

Today I made three trips into town! It wouldn't be anything worth writting about, except that I live out in the country. Which is where I gladly want to stay! But still, it makes you think twice about traveling into town. The freakishly high gas prices don't really help either. I wish my pick-up got a little better gas mileage, but hey, I still love my truck!

Anyway, thanks to my multiple trips into town, I didn't get any homework done! SOOOO, it's weekend homework for me! :(

This morning My mom and I went to the Oklahoma History Center Museum. They had some neat exhibits! And I really enjoyed it. Though it was my first time there, it won't be my last! I love going to museums a second time, I always see something that I didn't see before! I have been known to not catch something until my third or forth time even. But since I LOVE going to museums, that's ok!

Next time I will have to bring my sisters! ;)

Today was my Dad's 50th birthday! After church we all went to one of our fav resturants! It was SOO good! As always.

And as if that wasn't good enough, we then went over to Grandma's and Grandpa's for peach pie! I think Dad had a pretty good birthday! :)

The weather today was beautiful! What are the odds of getting to enjoy a little warm weather on your February B-Day?!?!?

Well, what can I say?....."Welcome to Oklahoma!!"

Today started out pretty slow. I was about to pass the day off as another boring Monday. But then I got a text from my neighbor, her goats were in labor. She knows that I'm going to school to be a vet- tech, and thought I would like to watch. We ended up having to help two of them because when they came out, the sack was still wrapped around their head. We washed their faces, cut the cord and cleaned out their noses! In the end, we had 6! :)

The weather was so beautiful today!!! It was almost a perfect day, except for the wind! And I was at school alllll day! From 1:00 to 7:00. But of course that's how it works, the days that you're trapped inside are most deffenetly going to be the best for being outside. Well, I would really like to see some decent weather tomorrow, I don't have school and I REALLY need to wash my truck!

But if tomorrow's weather isn't pretty, I've always got homework! -_-

LEAP DAY!!!! I've never really understood why every four years we add a day to the month of February???? Why do we let it have an extra day, only to take it away next year? Is it just me, or does that seem unfair to poor February?!? I mean... it's bad enough that February doesn't have the usual 30 or 31 days. But now we're going to give it a 29th day to make it feel important, only to strip it away for another four years!!

POOR LITTLE FEBRUAY!!! :(
